  11. - A bug was fixed which prevented sound recording to work properly on the PowerPC Macs.

  17. - A bug was fixed which could crash SoundBuilder and lock up the Mac when appending to the end of a sound.

  21. The following changes were made between versions 2.0 and 2.0.1

  23. - A bug was fixed which caused incorrect sample rates for WAV files saved on a Mac which did not have a sound input device.

  27. The following changes were made between versions 1.0.1 and 2.0

  29. - The main window can now be resized.
  30.  
  31. - Additional buttons have been added to the main window for easier access.
  32.  
  33. - Sample rate and compression menus are now located on each window rather than in the main menu.  The compression menu only has an affect on file save operations.  The sample rate menu applies only to sounds that are played.

  35. - The file type is now chosen via a menu instead of radio buttons.

  37. - The length of a sound is now chosen in the Record dialog instead of its own dialog box.  A separate sample rate menu has been added to the Record dialog box.

  39. - Commands have been added to replace a selection of sound with silence or to reverse it.

  41. - All button commands are also available via the menu bar.

  43. - AIFF and VOC files are now imported and exported.  Files of unknown format can also be imported.

  47. - The user can now control the serial number, default recording length, default sample rate, default compression type, and default file type via a Preferences Dialog box.

  49. - Fixed bug that could crash SoundBuilder when trying to read snd resources from an application file.

  51. - Fixed bug that kept SoundBuilder from opening a file of snd resources if it found a format 1 resource that it wasn't capable of reading.

  53. - Playing sounds are now stopped if switching to another application or if the sound editing window is closed.  This change was to eliminate error messages that were generated in either case.

  55. - Stereo sounds are now supported in all file formats except VOC.  The importing of unkown file formats is done as mono only.

  57. - Not as much memory is needed to read and write SND, SoundBuilder, and AIFF formats when the sound is not compressed.

  71. The following changes were made between versions 1.0 and 1.0.1:

  73. - All files can now be opened via drag and drop in the Finder.  
  74.  
  75. - Wave files created by SoundBuilder are now imported as wave files when opened from the Finder and via the Command-Shift-O command.  Wave files created by another application are still read in as resource files unless opened with the Import command.

  77. - A bug causing incorrect sample rates to be written to some wave files has been corrected.

  79. - As some sound resources have turned out to be specified as neither mono nor stereo in their sound header, any sound resource not specifically specified as stereo will be read in as a mono sound.  Stereo sounds are rejected.

  81. - A bug was fixed which prevented resource files from being opened.  Whether or not the program worked seemed to be hardware dependent.  SoundBuilder should now work on all systems.

  83. - SoundBuilder now handles the editing of non-sound files properly.  Files that are not System 7 Sounds or of SoundBuilder's native file format are opened as resource files.  You may then edit any sound resources found in the file or add your own to the file.

  85. - The document icon definitions have changed.  If you're upgrading from version 1.0 and don't see the new icons, try rebooting.  If you still don't see them, try rebuilding your desktop.

  87. - Deactivated "Next" button while a sound is playing.

  89. - The manual has been updated to reflect the above changes.
